One of my favorite days of the year! This is an amazing day spent with family. It is the one guaranteed day that we get to see some of our extended family! We have the "on year" and the "off year." The "on year" is the year that my mom is hosting for 30+ extended family members. The "off year" is the year that is smaller in extended family numbers but doesn't mean any less fun! We were so excited to have cousins Barry, Kara, Abryanna, and Ella join us from MI for the second year in a row! We were also so excited to meet new cousin, William, just born in July. This has also become an even more special holiday because I have been helping my mom cook the meal for a couple years now. I am her apprentice for when she decides she doesn't want to host anymore. I love that time we spend together cooking a traditional meal for family!! :)
